Scientist, educator, and tree lover working at DBCA
I love spending time in nature. The feeling of calm and relaxation that being amongst trees brings, listening to the birds and frog calls, taking note of the changes at different times of the day and different times of the year, my patch is truly a special place. I love watching the joy on my kids faces as they play, climb, and explore, connecting with nature.
I want everyone to be able to experience spending time in nature whether it be in their own backyard or local patch and to do this we need to look after our trees. Not only will we have a cool green city, but we will have healthier and happy people.
I designed my activity to get people out exploring their patch, finding out more about local plants and animals and sharing what they find with others. Using interactive education tools you can take people on a journey through your patch no matter where they are in the world, show them what you love about it and what you are doing to look after. We need to get everyone loving our trees.
